If easy paced, level cycling is what you desire then there are routes to suit you here,  meandering through the peaceful Moray Countryside along quiet roads around the main towns.

The National Cycle Route 1 travels through Moray on its way from Aberdeen to Inverness. A coastal cycle route links with this to Lossiemouth and through to Burghead so there are ample opportunities to explore the delights and drama of Coastal Moray.

For the more adventurous mountain bike enthusiasts there is a range of 'Monster Trails' provided by the Forestry Commission catering for those new to the sport through to challenging routes for the expert.

Whatever your preference, use the links from this page and the map to get the information your need to get the most from cycling in Moray.  Also use the useful links to get further information.

Remember general public access rights apply to most of the cycle routes in Moray but this should be taken responsibly in accordance with the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. Some sections  are on public roads so take care in proximity to moving traffic and follow the highway code.Respect the needs of other access users and those that make a living from the countryside. . Waterproof clothing is advised to be carried due to the unpredictable nature of the scottish weather.

Most of the paths are signed and waymarked so are easy tofollow.Nevertherless a 1:50000(or larger scale) OS map would be useful.
