Buckie: Strathlene- All abilities path

INTRODUCTION:

Located near Buckie, this is a short section of coastal all abilities path, which runs parallel to the rocky foreshore near the old Strathlene lido. There are views to the nearby Craigen Roan rock where seals can be regularly seen and heard. This path forms part of the Moray Coast Trail - Buckie to (refer to our Long Distance Paths section).

THE ROUTE AND FEATURES OF INTEREST:

Follow the Moray Coast Trail signs along the shore road from Buckie past the Strathlene Caravan park on your right and then turn in left past Strathlene House to the Strathlene Carpark. The gravel path starts here and leads to a viewpoint overlooking the rocky beach at the base of the cliffs. Although for the more able bodied and unsuitable for wheels, the route continues along the rocky foreshore and up steps to the cliff top path to Findochty (approximately 1 mile).
